Common questions
Why can’t I review someone?
You can only review someone you’ve actually been engaged with on CrewLink — that means an application between you was accepted. This is deliberate: it’s what stops anonymous and revenge reviews.
Why can’t I see the review someone left me?
Reviews stay hidden until both sides have reviewed each other, or 14 days pass. Neither of you can see the other’s until then. The quickest way to see yours is to leave theirs.
Why does my profile say “New” when I have a review?
A rating only appears once there are at least three reviews. One five-star review isn’t enough to say someone is a five-star operator, so we don’t pretend otherwise.
Someone left a review I think is unfair.
You always have a public right of reply — it appears directly under the review. If it breaches our terms (abusive, contains personal information, or is from someone you never worked with), use Report and a moderator will look at it. Reviews aren’t hidden automatically on report, because that would let a group silence honest feedback.
Why can’t I message someone?
Messaging opens once you’re connected on a job. It keeps CrewLink free of cold-calling and recruitment spam.
How do payments work?
They don’t go through CrewLink. We introduce people; you arrange rates and payment directly, the way you already do. We never hold your money and never take a cut.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: your avatar → Account → Delete my account. Or email us and we’ll do it within 30 days.
Your profile, contact details, jobs and messages are removed, along with the reviews written about you. Reviews you wrote about other people stay, with your name removed — otherwise anyone could erase honest feedback by closing their account.
